While we are still awaiting the arrival of the much anticipated dark theme on WhatsApp, the messaging giant is working on a number of other new features. One of those features is a "quick media edit" option that will allow you to make minor edits in media files before forwarding them to other contacts.
As identified by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is currently working on this new feature to help users save time and storage. They can quickly make minor modifications to media files and send them in private or group chats in a very short time.
WhatsApp is adding a new "Edit" button in the mix, which you'll see when you play the media sent or received by you. This is an ingenious addition for users who usually discuss a part of their business on the messaging platform. Take a few strange touches, but it's better than having to save and search the gallery for the image.
As you can see in the previous demo, the media editing panel remains the same and has not included any new features. You can still crop the image, do scribbles, add text, stickers and more to your media file, which is simple and has been for a long time. I think that WhatsApp needs to update its media editing tools, especially since many users now use their status function on a regular basis.
This feature is currently under development and should be open to users with a next update, both in Android and iOS. This is not a really important feature, so we can expect to see it before other implementations, which usually take a long time.
