Redmi separated from its Xiaomi matrix earlier this year to present itself as the affordable brand between the two. Since then, the company has been in a series of products and does not plan to stop soon. The flagship of Redmi K20 and RedmiBook are being followed by the highly anticipated release of Redmi TV next week, which is also when the Redmi Note 8 and Note 8 Pro will be presented to the world.
Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun previously hinted that the Redmi Note 8 series will debut along with its Redmi TVs on August 29. And well, Redmi today went to Weibo to officially confirm that the rumors are true.
You can see the teaser poster shared by Redmi on Weibo, which gives us a better idea of the successor of the popular Note 7 series. It is completely in line with the filtered practical images that showed an amazing green back panel (which I Remember the Zoom Oppo Reno 10x directly from the beginning) and the configuration of the quad camera (to match the Realme 5 Pro in India very soon).
Redmi has revealed nothing about his next Note 8 line, except for confirming that the Pro variant could include the 64MP camera sensor he spoke of few days. Other camera sensors would probably be an ultra wide-angle lens, a telephoto lens and a depth sensor for clear portraits. The trio of sensors will be located in the middle housing, with the depth sensor turned off to the right under the flash.
We suggest that you take these details of the camera module with a grain of salt since there has been no verification of it. Redmi will still provide a premium glass construction, a dot notched screen (as opposed to the frameless screen on the Redmi K20) and a physical fingerprint sensor instead of one below the screen. There is no information on the internal parts, but be aware as we would update the story to reflect any new findings.
