iOS 13 code shows how Apple’s Tile-like location-tracking tag should work

New information about Apple's upcoming Tile-like item tracker has been released in the code of iOS 13. Rumors about this feature built into iOS 13 have continued to spread since my first app finder was announced at WWDC in June. . Now, according to MacRumors we know better what Apple's tracking system looks like.

I checked the iOS 13 code and found a "small circle tag with Apple logo in the center" image. There is also a new "Items" tab in the Find My app. tag.

MacRumors describes a system to receive notifications when separated from tagged items. You can then use the app to create a sound from the tag. This is similar to how Tile and other third-party item trackers currently work. However, a more unusual feature in Apple's implementation is that it uses augmented reality to help you find things that have been lost after scanning an area with your iPhone. The first reference to the rumored tag was reported by 9to5Mac in June when it was discovered in the first beta of iOS 13. We will provide our own item tracking system with the new software.

Do you want to try? You can get more information at the Apple event on September 10, when Apple's latest iPhone and Apple Watch models are released. So keep watching and don't lose that key.
