Epic Games has nerfed the controversial mechs of Fortnite after player complaints after powerful vehicles were added to the Battle Royale Shooter in its last season. by a driver who controls the movements and a passenger who wields a missile launcher and a shotgun. Players can also go alone piloting the mech, exchanging between the two positions.
The driver can make the mech step on structures, which will instantly reap the materials of the destroyed things. A dash maneuver and a "super jump" are also available for greater mobility. Meanwhile, the passenger fires 10 missiles at a time with the missile launcher and also has access to a sunshade that can temporarily protect against attacks.
If that sounds too powerful, you're not the only one who thinks that. Fortnite players including the best streamers, have asked Epic Games to eliminate the B.R.U.T.E. in the competitive way of the game because the vehicles give too much advantage to the players who acquire them.
In an update, Epic Games said that in version 10.10, an orientation laser will be added to show the direction where the mech is pointing to its missiles. The laser will have directional audio to tell players where the missiles are pointing. In addition, the developer corrected some errors that exploited the impulse mechanics of the vehicle.
"The BRUTE remains within the main game modes (Solo, Duos and Squadrons), select Limited Time Modes and in competitive games in Arena and Tournaments," Epic Games wrote, indicating that the developer will not eliminate mechs from Competitive game despite complaints. However, the planned adjustments are not close enough to address the balance problems of the mechs. Players continue to be angry at what appears to be a disconnect between Epic Games and the community Fortnite .
Fortunately, Epic Games did more than add pointing lasers to the BRUTE

Competitive players of Fortnite apparently they will not get their desire to eliminate BRUTE vehicles from the game in the short term, but it remains to be seen if the nerfeed generation rates of the mechs will be enough to calm the outrage.
